We aren’t experts, but we aren’t clueless either. If 97% of scientists say it’s time to act to avoid a climate emergency, then we expect action. Now.

If the UN says warming above 1.5°C threatens our civilization, and that we’re heading for +3°C, clearly our kids’ health, safety and well-being is at stake.

So we want Canada to do what’s needed to stay under 1.5°C: by 2030, we expect emissions to be cut by a minimum of 45%; and by 2050, Canada must be carbon neutral.

That’s why Mothers Step In is asking for:

A climate law like other countries have, to force Canada to reach those targets.

A detailed climate plan showing how Canada will reach those targets.

A detailed plan showing what will be done to protect our kids from the impacts of climate change that we’re already too late to prevent.
